A full-circle moment at Harmony Hills

Anna Reeves holds the NEISD way sign with text and logos

Anna Reeves has a special connection to Harmony Hills Elementary School. When her family first moved to the neighborhood, she started school as a fifth grader at Harmony Hills.

Today, she’s back as a fifth grade teacher.

“I feel like I never really disconnected from Harmony Hills. I really do love it. When this position opened up, I knew this is what I was supposed to be doing.”

Anna took inspiration from her favorite teachers at Harmony Hills, Eisenhower Middle School and Churchill High School, where she graduated.

“I remember loving all of my teachers. I feel like I took pieces of all of their teaching and put it into my own."

Teaching has always been the goal for Anna. She did her student teaching at Camelot Elementary School and after graduating from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) she started as a long-term substitute at Harmony Hills. Halfway through the school year, she officially joined the team as a fifth grade teacher.

It was a full-circle moment years in the making. Anna wouldn’t have it any other way.
