We are excited to announce North East ISD’s 2025 Teacher of the Year Finalists! 

NEISD Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Sean Maika, and Executive Staff visited three elementary and three secondary campuses to surprise each finalist with the good news. 

Elementary Teacher of the Year Finalists:

• Jennifer Read, Huebner Elementary School 
• Rosa Carrillo, Stone Oak Elementary School 
• Melissa Cruz, Walzem Elementary School

Secondary Teacher of the Year Finalists:

• Christina Reyna, Driscoll Middle School 
• Lorraine Flakes, Ed White & DATA Middle School 
• LeAnn Henderson, Johnson High School
