Sensational Scholarships

Four North East ISD students received all four scholarships from the National Association of Women Business Owners SA (NAWBO-SA) Business Plan writing contest.

Shayna Klein from Legacy of Educational Excellence (LEE) High School won 1st place - $10,000 scholarship

Fatima Madero from Johnson High School won 2nd place - $7,500 scholarship

Elizabeth Scott from Johnson High School won 3rd place - $5,000 scholarship

Jane Kamata from Legacy of Educational Excellence (LEE) High School won 4th place - $2,500 scholarship

All four young women have been working toward this goal since September.

They attended several conferences, and a member of the NAWBO-SA mentored them.

They had to write a complete business plan and turn it in by February, competing against young women from across the city. In the end, all four scholarships went to NEISD students.

Congratulations ladies.
