Tour the new inspiration station at Redland Oaks
There's a new inspiration station for students at Redland Oaks Elementary School!
Librarian Shannon Perkins applied for and received a $5,817.21 NEEF grant for the “Library Stations That Inspire Early Childhood Creations” program. Staff and supporters officially cut the ribbon and opened the new section of the library today.
Children in attendance were treated to a special story time by North East ISD Board of Trustees President Shannon Grona.
In 2023, Redland Oaks became one of NEISD's hubs for the Pre-K/Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program. The Student Impact Grant from our North East Education Foundation (NEEF) helps teachers integrate storytelling with hands-on games and STEM activities that will foster the development of critical language, literacy skills, and boost creative expression among students.
On hand for the ribbon cutting were Principal Randy Barr, Librarian Shannon Perkins, NEEF Executive Director Katherine Sanchez-Rocha, and NEISD Board of Trustees President, Shannon Grona.
