Castle Hills Elementary School first graders showed off their creativity and understanding of alliteration with a fun lesson in front of kindergarten students.

The students read poems about pretty penguins, big books and silent spiders as they waved their puppets made of Styrofoam, pom poms and googly eyes.

Thanks to North East ISD’s partnership with The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts students and teachers at Castle Hills work with teaching artists to integrate art into core subject lessons. The partnership exposes students to the arts and it also gives them hands-on, innovative lessons—making learning core subjects fun and engaging.
