Rough Rider cadets explore potential futures

Amazing Opportunity banner

The cadets traveled to San Marcos to tour the Amazon Fulfillment Center, immersing themselves in the fast-paced world of logistics, technology and corporate operations.

The students got to explore the massive warehouse where a system of intricate robots works seamlessly with Amazon employees to fulfill thousands of orders. It was a firsthand look at how teamwork, precision and technology work together.

“Everything moved at such a fast pace. There was very little room for hiccups and mistakes—everything required everyone to work seamlessly together,” said Cadet Captain Colleen McWilliams.

Throughout the visit, the cadets spoke with Amazon employees, learning about the challenges and rewards of careers in logistics, supply chain management and corporate leadership.

This experience wasn’t just about seeing how it all worked —it was about discovering possibilities.
