What are you grateful for?
What are you grateful for?
Tuscany Heights Elementary School fourth-grader Rishona Henry thinks about this every day. It’s a special routine that started with her mom and grew into a gratitude wall. Each day, they write down what they are thankful for on sticky notes. The gratitude wall concept has since expanded into book form so everyone can take a moment to reflect on the good things in their life.
With the help of her mom, Rishona is now selling a gratitude journal on Amazon. The cover features one of the first pieces of art she ever created.
“I made it when I was three, and it was the first drawing I ever did that my parents knew I could be an artist someday,” said Rishona.
It sounds simple, but Rishona says writing down the things she’s thankful for inspires her to stay positive. Her gratitude journal is a way for others to do the same.
“Grateful means to be appreciative for what you have,” said Rishona. “It’s made me more positive. I hope it helps other people be more aware of the good things that happen every day.”
