Teacher helping a student

“The kids brought me back.”

Adrianna Springer helped open Wetmore Elementary School.

She’s taught kindergarten there since day one.

She retired last year, but she is back helping fill much-needed substitute positions.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity. I love teaching. I love making a difference,” said Springer. “I have been in these teachers’ shoes. I know what it’s like. I want to be there to help as much as I can.”

Springer admits she’s made the mistake of going back into her old classroom many times.

But she loves the opportunity to work with new students and new grade levels in an environment she loves.

“I love Wetmore. I love subbing. You get to make a difference. You get to help the students. You get to help the teachers. It’s a great experience.”

If you want to help make a difference apply to be a substitute today.
