Eight more NEISD campuses earn Purple Star designation

North East ISD’s Student 2 Student program is growing and with it comes an even more significant impact on the military students and families in our community. The award-winning program will soon be in place on every NEISD campus. It connects civilian students with newly enrolled military children to ease the transition of being the “new kid” at school. Together, they tour the campus, eat lunch together, and answer questions that come with moving to a new place.

NEISD is proud to have eight new Purple Star Designation campuses. This Texas Education Agency designation goes to schools that excel in meeting the needs of military students and their families. This brings the District’s total number of Purple Star Campuses to 19.

Congratulations to our new Purple Star campuses: Bulverde Creek Elementary School, Garner Middle School, Ed White Middle School, Tejeda Middle School, Harris Middle School, Jackson Middle School, Johnson High School and Roosevelt High School.

Student 2 Student is currently at every NEISD middle and high school campus. Starting this year, it’s expanding to every elementary campus.
