The Leader in Me Lighthouse School title is awarded by Franklin Covey to honor the attainment of a well-rounded leadership model. Lighthouse Schools serve as models of leadership and mentors to other schools.

Roan Forest Celebrates Lighthouse Status
Students and staff at Roan Forest Elementary School are celebrating the school's Lighthouse status. The campus achieved this prestigious recognition in December 2018 by demonstrating excellence in the Covey Habits at school, home, and the greater community.

Lopez student awarded $500 Leadership Grant
At the end of the school year Lopez Middle School announced that sixth grader, Santiago Ochoa Tovar, has been awarded a $500 leadership grant from the FranklinCovey Education Division For his video submission in the annual 2018 Leader in Me International Student Speech Contest. The winners were announced back in May and the school held an official ceremony in June.

Cibolo Green's Leader in Me Family Night
Cibolo Green Elementary School hosted a Leader in Me Family Night in 2018. Students, families, and faculty created vision boards and used the iPad app, ChatterPix, to develop mission statements. North East ISD’s Junior Lighthouse committee students spoke at the event, and the Peace Leaders group were present to greet all families that attended. It was a fantastic learning experience for students and their parent/guardians alike.
