I love my job as and art teacher. I have been blessed to have the ability to teach what I love. The ability to teach art is not the best part of my job. Building relationships with students is by far the greatest part of my job.

Graduated from UTSA in December of 2011 with a BFA and a focus on printmaking. Moved to College Station, Tx the following year and taught art for 3 years in a small district just south of there. Moved back to San Antonio in 2015 where I have been working here at Tex Hill MS. This year I am pleased to be working at Madison HS as an Art 1 teacher.

God blessed me with my first child, a boy named Connor, over the summer of 2015. I was blessed in the spring of 2017 with my baby girl, Avery. In January of 2020, we welcomed my second son, Gideon, into our family. Me and my wife were married in May 2011.

I really enjoy art and do it as much as I can and if I am not doing or making art I am most likely thinking about art. How the light reflects off something or the way a fabric folds and bends around people or objects. What I enjoy about being an art teacher is all the different kinds of art that I get to do and teach. I can paint one day then draw a still life the next and work on a block print at the same time as clay sculptures are being fired in the kiln.

I am looking forward to the challenges that may come so that we overcome them.
