Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am thrilled to be embarking on my 14th year of teaching at Tuscany Heights Elementary! After graduating with my Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, I helped to open this school and spent 5 years here teaching first grade. I am excited to now be in my 9th year of teaching the G/T program at Tuscany Heights. I look forward to each day bringing a new challenge, adventure, and opportunity to dive deeper into our learning about both the world and ourselves.

 My amazing husband and I have been together for 31 years, and we have two incredible children.  My son is finishing his college degree through SNHU while he works for Disney World at Star Wars Galaxy's Edge in Hollywood Studios, Florida. My daughter will be a Junior in the Honors College at LSU and is double-majoring in Arts Administration and Experimental Music & Digital Media. Geaux Tigers! We are excited to visit them as often as possible during the year as we continue to figure out just what it means to be "empty nesters". ;)  When not visiting them, most of our "free" time is spent enjoying live theatre, movies, concerts, traveling, cooking, college football and spending time with our family. We are blessed to have 2 adorable Shih Tzu puppies that truly complete our little family!

Some of my favorite things are: shopping on Amazon, doing puzzles, home decorating, playing games, watching college football, creating arts and crafts, going to the theatre and of course one of my biggest passions is ALL THINGS DISNEY!

I have THE BEST job, and consider myself lucky to be able to learn, grow, and be inspired by my students daily. Our classroom is known for being active, challenging, engaged, and full of laughter! It is an honor to play a small role in building up the confidence and competence of our future leaders, and empowering them with the life skills to make a difference in our world.
