This course provides an introduction and lays a solid foundation for those students entering the construction or craft skilled areas. The course provides knowledge of construction safety, construction mathematics, and common hand and power tools. This course is a hands-on approach that provides skill specific construction methods, and occupation skills to assist the student in obtaining and maintaining employment. This is the level 1 course for Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Welding

Carpentry Year 4
Students in this course participate in work-based learning. Students can earn credit while participating in a paid/unpaid internship. All student placements must be approved by the Construction Technology Academy.
