Jackson students lead December Board Meeting
Two extraordinary Jackson Middle School students lead the regularly scheduled December meeting of the North East ISD Board of Trustees on Monday evening.
Principal Cynthia Rubio introduced the students who provided the meeting’s invocation and pledges to the U.S. and Texas flags.
Seventh-grader Jacob Davidson led attendees in the invocation. Davidson runs cross-country and plays basketball. He is also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is in the honors band, competes in Robotics, CyberPatriots and is a member of NEISD’s Kids School Health Advisory Committee (kSHAC). He is a straight-A student with a full load of Honors classes.
That evening, his parents, Brian and Allison, and his brothers Joshua and Caleb joined him.
Eighth-grader Sara Garcia recited the Pledges of Allegiance to the Texas and U.S. flags. Garcia is an A/B Honor Roll student who competes in Academic UIL. She is a Student 2 Student ambassador and the vice president of the National Junior Honors Society. She’s currently running for President of the Student Council and is the First chair in the orchestra with her violin. She was joined by her parents, Francisco and Elaine, and her brother Francisco.
