Meet Krueger’s record-holding custodian

Tymeek Williams is one of the newest custodians at Krueger Middle School.

He joined the team just weeks after graduating from Roosevelt High School over the summer.

Before attending Roosevelt, he attended Krueger.

“It feels good to be back,” said Williams. “I had a tough time as a kid, but coming to school at Krueger, I felt better. It’s where I belonged.”

So, even though he’s got a new role at Krueger, he knows the school.

And he’s known around the school.

He was a track star at Krueger.

In fact, he still holds the North East ISD record for Long Jump.

20 feet. 4 inches.

“I am grateful that he has returned to Krueger on his path to his future endeavors,” said Krueger Principal Cynthia Rubio. “I see the pride he has working here, and I just think about how much we, as educators, get to influence children through mentorship and relationships.”

“I want to help kids who were like me,” said Williams.

He hopes to continue his education and eventually become a track coach at Krueger.

He wants to keep giving back to the community that keeps giving back to him.
