I was born and raised in Iowa.  After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa, I came to Texas as quickly as I could, and have been here ever since.  I Have been teaching Art and coaching Wrestling since 1994/95.  I coached Football from 1998-2019.  I am very fortunate to get to teach and coach such a variety of activities that I truly enjoy.  I am teaching Art I.  I am the head wrestling coach. 

I opened Johnson in 2008 and remained here for the first five years.  I left to another school for 4 years and then returned to Johnson.  This is my 4th year back at Johnson.  This is my 9th total year at Johnson.  This is my 27th year of teaching and coaching.

I have two daughters, Shelbi and Abbi.  Shelbi is 23 and Abbi is 11.  Abbi is in sixth grade at Tejeda Middle School, and Shelbi has finished her undergrad at the University of Incarnate Word.  Shelbi is now applying to PA school.
