Nimitz/STEM Community Garden and Outdoor Classroom Meeting

Students Offering Service, a community service club at Nimitz Middle School, was awarded a grant by the Spurs Team it Up Challenge to build an outdoor classroom and community garden at Nimitz/STEM. They are hosting a community meeting open to the public to discuss current plans and talk to the community about getting everyone involved in the process. They would like parents, students, and community members to join in and find a way they would like to be involved. They will be discussing upcoming work days where they will be building structures like pergolas, fences, and sheds, as well as planting vegetables and plants. They appreciate anyone willing to get involved and help where they can. They also encourage those that have experience to give advice and ideas.
