Educational Background
I attended Illinois State University in Bloomington, Illinois. I graduated cum laude in December 2001 with a degree in elementary education with areas of concentration in math, science, social studies, and language arts. In the summer of 2009, I completed my master's degree in teacher leadership from Lamar University.
Teaching Background
This will be my twenty-second year in North East ISD. Wow!! How time flies!!! I previously taught third and fourth grade at Roan Forest Elementary School. I was very excited to be given the professional opportunity to open up a new school. I opened Cibolo Green as a first grade teacher and taught first grade for five years before moving to second grade! This will be my ninth year teaching second grade here at Cibolo!
Family and Interests
I have been married to my wonderful husband for fifteen years. We have a fourteen-year-old son named Wyatt. Wyatt is in eighth grade this year at SETA. He is very active in baseball, so I spend most of my nights and weekends at the ball fields. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also LOVE to shop and create things using my Cricut!
I also have two dogs! Brooklynn is a seven year old chocolate lab mix and Champ is a six year old Vizsla mix.
