Jennifer Amsink

Hello, Broncos!  I am Jennifer Amsink and I am excited to have joined the Northern Hills Special Education Team as the 4th grade Inclusion/Resource Teacher.  My philosophy of teaching is to make learning fun!  I hope to motivate students to develop a love for learning and provide activities for students to experience learning that is hands on, engaging, and meaningful to their everyday lives.

I was born and raised in the state of Georgia where I graduated from Hapeville High School.  I had wonderful teachers and role models who inspired me to pursue a career in teaching.  I went to Georgia Southern University where I received my Bachelors degree in Special Education: Emphasis on Intellectual Disabilities.  I completed Masters work at Augusta State University, where I received my certification for Curriculum and Instruction: Teaching through the Multiple Intelligences Theory.  I furthered my education at Lesley University where I earned a Specialist degree in Early Childhood Education.

I have currently been teaching for 23 years and have taught in four different states due to military traveling. I have worked with the special needs population for all of these years to include various special education environments, additional general education classrooms with inclusion students, public schools, private schools, and in home tutoring.  I am happy to say I have a love for teaching and I want to inspire students to enjoy learning.  I look forward to working with our students and teachers this year!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.  You can email me at or call and leave a message and I will call you back.
