Kema Biediger

Hello, I am so thrilled to be teaching at Walzem Elementary School. I began my teaching career twenty three years ago in Helotes,Texas and I worked there for five years before starting my family. Then, I took a looooong break and raised my children, worked with my husband building a family medical practice and I stayed very involved with my children's schools and PTA's. I returned to the classroom and NEISD as a full time substitute when my children were in high school and I truly enjoyed being back in the classroom. 

In 2016, we sold our family business and moved to Denver, Colorado for almost 3 years. I taught reading at our neighborhood mountain school and then I was hired to teach third grade for Denver Public Schools. I was officially hooked on teaching again. We ended up moving back to Texas, because Texas is the best, and here I am... teaching at a great school that I love. I'm especially looking forward to next year and hoping for continued growth and opportunities for my awesome students and their families.

Personally, I have been married to Dr Dave for a long time (28) years and we have two college age children. Our daughter is a Texas A&M graduate, Gig 'em, and our son is a rising Senior or Firstie at the United States Naval Academy. Kaelin is working on her masters degree here at UTSA, in clinical mental health and Bryce will be a commissioned  Naval officer in May of '21. We are so proud of both of them. 

I love to read, watch bad TV like Bravo, travel and spend time with my family!
