My background in art began at a young age. I have always had a passion for the arts and find myself focusing on photography, painting, printmaking and fiber arts. Most of my work is conceptual and leans into the relationships that we have, want or miss. Family is a big part of my life and I hold those relationships close to my heart. You will find that most of my work relates to those relationships and the deeper conections that they hold. 

As an art educator I want my students to grow, learn and have fun. I want them to make those connections that drive them, I want them to embrace the feelings and emotions that life brings and turn them into an art form. To me, nothing is more powerful than seeing a student shine through their work, have pride in their work and being able to share that with others. 

Outside of work my time is spent with my amazing husband and my two daughters. I was born and raised in Southern California and Texas has been home for the past 15 years.
