Bush Middle School
Mrs. Schroeder - 8th Grade U.S. History
It's always GREAT day to be a BULLDOG. I am so thrilled to be part of this amazing faculty and school.
Background & Education...I am a native of the great state of IOWA. I have lived several years in Texas...As the story goes, everything is BIGGER and BETTER in this great state and I am so glad that I am here. There is so much history in this great state. Remember the Alamo.
Educational background...I have a BA in Education, Psychology and Political Science from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA. I continued my educational career at the University of Oklahoma and earned a MA in Human Relations. Most recently, I have completed my administrator license through Lamar University. I am very proud of all my academic accomplishments and hope to provide a positive influence to all of my students at Bush Middle School.
Beyond education...I have played and coached basketball at the collegiate level and was afforded many opportunities to succeed and lead in this environment. I also had the great fortune to play for the United States Air Force Europe (USAFE) Basketball Team in which my team accomplished two USAFE championships during my 2 years on the team. I truly enjoy basketball but also gain much of my sports enjoyment through college football. BIG FAN!! Go Hawkeyes! Go Sooners! Go USAFA!
My loves...My husband, Neil, and I are the proud parents of three extraordinary children. Jackson is a freshman at UIW, Anderson is a sophomore at Reagan and Ava is a freshman at Reagan. We moved back to San Antonio in 2015 and we chose where we lived based on schools. We wanted them to be at Reagan eventually, but our middle school of choice was Bush Middle School. Their time at Bush Middle School was nothing short of amazing. Proud to teach at this "Premier Middle School." GO BULLDOGS!!
