Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Delma Adams, and this is the start of my 4th year working at the Academy of Creative Education as the school counselor. I look forward to working with our students and helping them achieve their goal of graduating high school and preparing for the process of college admission.
I received my Bachelor of English degree from the University of Texas Pan American and Masters in Counseling degree from the University of Texas San Antonio. I have also obtained my certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Texas.
My background includes counseling at the elementary level and teaching at the 4th, 6th, 7th, and 10th grade level. I also have experience working as a bilingual special education teacher. In addition to working as a school counselor, I am employed part-time as a therapist for adolescents at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center.
Although things may look very different this school year due to distance learning and social distancing, I am very excited to work with each and every one of you! ACE is a wonderful place to be!
Please feel free to call my office at (210) 407-0684. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org In addition, current students can always "visit" me via Zoom by logging in to my Google classroom and clicking on the Zoom link.
