Hello! My name is Gene Ward, but I go by Mr. Ward in the classroom.

I was born in, and grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. I attended Montessori school from Pre-K through 3rd grade, and attended Incarnate Word Academy from 3rd grade through high school. I went to college at Texas Christian University, and graduated with a double-major in English and History.

I have been a teacher for 6 years. My first 3 years were spent teaching English and Language Arts in middle school. This will be my third year at Canyon Ridge, and my second year in the 4th grade. I will be facilitating Virtual Learning in all subjects, and I am very much looking forward to preparing our students for middle school and beyond!
