I grew up in Lufkin, Texas. I have always enjoyed playing music since 6th grade when I played flute in band. My love for music continued to grow and expand throughout my years in college and that was where I found my passion to teach music. This will be my 8th year teaching!

The Leader in Me habits are implemented in music and I believe will compliment what I teach in class and have students grow up to be gifted leaders of tomorrow! I am also a proud ambassador of the Arts Integration, where I strive to integrate the arts into the regular classroom. 

 In my spare time, I enjoy playing music, spending time with my family and watching my favorite shows with my dog. 

My goal as a teacher is to inspire students and bring out their musical talent. I believe music benefits all subjects in school and can open the minds of students and allow them to express themselves in another way. I am looking forward to another great year here at Oak Grove! Go Panthers!
