Mr. Kevin Hernandez
This will be my first year as a Special Education teacher and Assistant Football coach. I am blessed to start my journey at Reagan High School. I will be teaching Applied Skills and assisting with the Redirection program. I am here to serve the Reagan community to the best of my ability. I believe in empowering and investing in our young people. It is my goal to help our students discover their leadership potential and help turn that into leadership skills for our students to use for the rest of their lives.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, and graduted from Theodore Roosevelt High School. While at TR, I was involved in Football, PALS, National Honor Society, SADD Unity Club, and Student Council. During my senior year, I received the Spirit & Leadership award (my parents were very proud) and also the Wittest Senior award (I was very proud).
While in college, I worked for our district's KIN program for three years and for a Special Needs group home during those same three years. I also have experience as a nonprofit coordinator and I also worked at Northside ISD for two years before returning home to NEISD. I currently serve as a summer camp director for a football camp hosted by an NFL player. I have been volunteering with Extreme Youth Leadership and TEDxSA for several years.
In my free time, I enjoy attending comedy shows, food festivals, hanging out with dogs, participating in the finer things club, and spending time with my little sister.
