Mrs. Angeles Saaid

¡¡¡Hola a todos!!!

I am very happy and honored to start my 3rd year teaching Spanish and serving as sponsor to the NHS chapter at Douglas MacArthur High School, Home of the Brahmas!

I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico and moved to the U.S. being a teenager.  I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio (GO ROADRUNNERS) where I received my BA in Spanish in 1994 and my MA in English as a Second Language in 2004.  I have been teaching since 1998, including 10 years in Morocco where I taught English to preschoolers, and English as a Foreign Language to children, teenagers, and adults.

I like to read and watch documentaries related to history, any time period but lately I seem to be leaning to the Middle Ages; I also enjoy rooting for my favorite soccer teams.  However, the activity that I just love the most is spending time with my family and playing with my cats, Pastel and Garibaldi.

I am looking forward to meet my new students and have a exciting school year 2020-2021.

Even though the largest rocks may stand in its way, water will always find a way to get through it. - Roger Lee
