Mrs. Lana Harrison
Welcome! I am the family and consumer science teacher here at Tejeda. This will be my 9th year of teaching and my 4th year at Tejeda. Prior to coming to Tejeda, my husband and I lived in Lincoln, Nebraska where I taught a wide range of family and consumer science courses at a high school. I was also the cheerleading sponsor.
I am origninally from San Antonio and attended all NEISD schools including Bush MS and Reagan HS. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas with my bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences. I also have my master’s degree in Educational Administration: School Leadership through the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. I hold a certification in Family and Consumer Sciences- 6-12 in both Texas and Nebraska, and also have an endorsement in Human Development and Family Studies. I have two adorable little boys, Reid (4) and Rhett (1). I enjoy running, cooking, spending time with my family, and cheering on the Spurs and Nebraska Cornhuskers!
I am thrilled to teach at such an exceptional school and know that this school year is going to be wonderful! If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
