Kristen Aceves

Hello Bush Bulldogs! My name is Kristen Aceves. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Communications, summa cum laude, from the University of Texas at Permian Basin. I have had the privilege to teach at Bush Middle School for over five years in ALE and taught Reading Resource for two years.  I am currently the 6th and 7th grade Reading Resource teacher and 7th grade ELAR Co-Teacher.

I am also a Co-Sponsor for the Prestigious NJHS. NJHS is (National Junior Honor Society) program. Being a part of this group is an honor and is only extended for students that are high achievers (they must maintain an average of 90% or above).  It is also only considered when a student has shown good citizenship and character. Our NJHS members are required to volunteer in the community and maintain their grade point average. It is also an excellent start to become a future member in the prestigious NHS (National Honor Society).  NHS not only enhances your high school experience, but it can help your college resume. NHS chapters are extremely active in their communities, which provides bountiful opportunities to build and demonstrate leadership skills and show civic engagement.

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) elevates a school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. These five pillars have been associated with membership in the organization since its inception in 1929. Learn more about these five pillars of membership here.
