Kristen Aceves

Hello Bush Bulldogs! My name is Kristen Aceves. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Communications, summa cum laude, from the University of Texas at Permian Basin. I have had the privilege of teaching at Bush Middle School for over five years in ALE and taught Reading Resource for three years.  I am currently the 7th grade Reading Resource teacher and 7th grade ELAR & History Co-Teacher.

I am also a Co-Sponsor for the Prestigious NJHS. NJHS is (National Junior Honor Society) program. Being a part of this group is an honor and is only extended to students that are high achievers (they must maintain an average of 90% or above).  It is also only considered when a student has shown good citizenship and character. Our NJHS members are required to volunteer in the community and maintain their grade point average. It is also an excellent start to become a future member of the prestigious NHS (National Honor Society).  NHS not only enhances your high school experience, but it can help your college resume. NHS chapters are extremely active in their communities, which provides bountiful opportunities to build and demonstrate leadership skills and show civic engagement.

About me:

In my spare time I like to run, kickbox, read, paint, refinish old furniture and hang out with my family. My daughter, Ava, is a former Bush Bulldog and will be a sophomore this year at Reagan. Strike em!

I believe that the parent/ teacher relationship is essential in providing the optimal outcome for our students. Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions or concerns. The best way to reach me is via email at kaceve@neisd.net. I look forward to hearing from and working with you.
