Kristen Aceves

Hello Bush Bulldogs! My name is Kristen Aceves. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Communications, summa cum laude, from the University of Texas at Permian Basin. I also recently graduated with my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have had the privilege of teaching at Bush Middle School for over five years in ALE and taught Reading Resource for four years.  I am currently the 8th and 7th grade ELAR Co-Teacher & 7th grade History Co-Teacher.

I am also a Co-Sponsor for the Prestigious NJHS. NJHS is (National Junior Honor Society) program. Being a part of this group is an honor and is only extended to students that are high achievers (they must maintain an average of 90% or above).  It is also only considered when a student has shown good citizenship and character. Our NJHS members are required to volunteer in the community and maintain their grade point average. It is also an excellent start to become a future member of the prestigious NHS (National Honor Society).  NHS not only enhances your high school experience, but it can help your college resume. NHS chapters are extremely active in their communities, which provides bountiful opportunities to build and demonstrate leadership skills and show civic engagement.

About me:

In my spare time I like to run, kickbox, read, paint, refinish old furniture and hang out with my family. My daughter, Ava, is a former Bush Bulldog and will be a Junior this year at Reagan. Strike em! I was also lucky enough to be voted by my peers as Bush's Teacher of the Year and Trinity Prize Teacher for the 22-23 school year.

I believe that the parent/ teacher relationship is essential in providing the optimal outcome for our students. Please feel free to contact me anytime with any questions or concerns. The best way to reach me is via email at kaceve@neisd.net. I look forward to hearing from and working with you.
