Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film TEA Certified in Technology Applications (K-12)

Mrs. Jenna Newton-Esquilin

I myself am a product of NEISD (Coker, Bradley, and MacArthur) so this district is home to me. This will be my fourth year teaching at Ed White and I have to say... I really love the Ed White/Roosevelt community. There is something special about this campus that makes you feel part of a family, so it's my hope that my students feel that when they walk into my classroom. I currently teach Principles of Info Tech and Principles of AV (Audio/Visual), as well as co-teaching Yearbook with Ms. Morrison. I also run ENN (our school video news) and co-sponsor our Robotics team!

I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio-Television-Film, where I used the most innovative technology to learn all about creating digital media, web design and graphic design. I have a passion for digital media and technology that goes beyond the classroom, and I hope to inspire the same in my students.

I try to make my class a safe place where students can have the freedom to express their creative ideas and opinions, but most of all I want to challenge them to think outside the box! Through collaborative, hands on and engaging learning, these CTE courses give middle school students the chance to receive high school credit. By learning how to utilize technology now, these students are getting a huge leg up when it comes time to use these skills in high school, college, and professional work places.

I am excited for this year (challenges and all) and to grow life-long relationships with my students and their families!
