Mr. Joshua Fawson

My name is Joshua Fawson and I am excited join the faculty and staff of Claudia Taylor Johnson High School. I teach two related subjects here at CTJ, Physics I and Earth and Space Science. I'm excited to get to know you, my students and parents, and to help my students expand their understanding and appreication of the world around them through science.

My wife, our four children, our dog, and I moved to Texas this summer from Utah. I was born and raised in southern Utah and will miss getting that red sand in my shoes. I received my Associates of Arts degree from Dixie State College, now Dixie State University, in St. George, Utah. After some time in the construction industry I returned to school and earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I taught at Desert Hills High School in St. George, Utah for six years. I had the opportunity to teach three different classes while at Desert Hills, Dual Credit Physics/Physics with Technology, Astronomy, and CTE Pre-Engineering. I was also an adjunct professor at Dixie State University off and on where I taught several of their physics lab classes.

I am now a student at UTSA in their Advanced Materials Engineering program and expect to graduate in 2019.
