I am very happy to be a part of a wonderful group of teachers and staff here at Larkspur Elementary. This will be my 15th year in education. I am currently the Instructional Bilingual Coach supporting all students and teachers. I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade for many years. I enjoy working with a diverse group of students who come from different places around the world. I enjoy sharing my educational experiences with all our Larkspur students by instilling a love for learning a new language, creating innovative lessons, and fostering my love for reading. Reading will open so many doors to new possibilities and opportunities. I truly feel we have the ability to positively influence our youth by building their knowledge and helping them be the future leaders of tomorrow.
I am very proud of being bilingual and understanding the educational journey of some of our students who have experienced new adventures of moving to a new country and learning a new language. I was born in Mexico City and moved to San Antonio at the age of 5 years old. I can relate to many students who have to encounter the many experiences of learning the culture, language, and customs, as this is an important foundation of our student's educational journey. Their success is my reward. Being able to form a small piece of their educational journey brings me much joy and satisfaction. Working together with students, teachers, parents, and staff is one of my biggest joys. I love to learn and experience new adventures together with our Larkspur students and the community all around.
Every child has the opportunity to learn something new every day. As an educator, I will continue to empower all our students to reach their true potential by working together with their families and support systems. Together we can make a difference.
I love to spend quality time with my 14-year-old son named Andres Sevastian and my husband Andres. We have two adorable dogs. One is a beagle and his name is Buddy and the other is a half Maltese -Yorkie and his name is Chewbacca. I love to learn new things, read, travel, go camping, watch movies, garden, and spend quality time with my family. Time is precious and we need to enjoy those who we love and cherish every moment in our life. Every moment counts and taking pictures of precious moments is one of my best hobbies. I love to take selfies with my family and friends. SMILE at the camera and enjoy each special moment.
Education is my passion and I love to help my students follow their dreams and continue to learn and grow to be successful, independent leaders of tomorrow. Together we can change the world, one child at a time. Si se puede! Yes, we can!
BELIEVE, INSPIRE, DREAM AND ENJOY LIFE TO THE FULLEST!
