I am very happy to be a part of a wonderful group of teachers and staff here at East Terrell Hills Elementary. This will be my 13th year as a Bilingual/Dual Language teacher. I have taught 2nd grade at Regency Place Elementary and here at East Terrell Hills. I have also taught 4th grade at SWISD and at East Terrell Hills Elementary. I enjoy working with a diverse group of students who come from different places around the world. I enjoy sharing my educational experiences with my students by instilling a love for learning a new language, creating innovative lessons, and fostering my love for reading. Reading will open so many doors to new possibilities and opportunities. I truly feel we have the ability to positively influence our youth by building their knowledge and helping them be the future leaders of our nation. I am very proud of being bilingual and to form a small part of my students' educational journey. Their success is my reward.
Every child has the opportunity to learn something new every day. As an educator, I will continue to empower my students to reach their true potential by working together with their family and support system. Together we can make a difference.
I love to spend quality time with my 12-year-old son named Andres Sevastian and my husband Andres. We have two adorable dogs. One is a beagle and his name is Buddy and the other is a half Maltese -Yorkie and his name is Chewbacca. I love to learn new things, read, travel, go camping, exercise, watch movies, garden, and spend quality time with my family. Time is precious and we need to enjoy those who we love and cherish every moment in our life.
Education is my passion and I love to help my students follow their dreams and continue to learn and grow to be successful, independent leaders of tomorrow. Together we can change the world, one child at a time. Si se puede!
