Mr. Josue Vega

Hello. And thanks for stopping by my teacher page.  If you're here, that means that you're probably in my class, or you know a student in my class.  Let's make it a great experience for the both of us by first telling you about me.

First off, I'm from a little town down in the Rio Grande Valley called Edniburg.  Lived there nearly all my life and I am proud to say that I am a Class of 2006 graduate of Ediburg Consolidated Independent School District.  After high school, I briefly attended Texas A&M Univeristy-Kingsville, but I eventually graduated from the then known as Univisity of Texas-Pan American, now called University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley, in the Fall of 2010, with a major in English and a minor in Philosophy.

After getting all my teacher credentials and certificates in order--and taking the apporporate tests--I began my career in education in the Fall of 2012.  I'm very honored to say that the high school from which I graduated was the first place to allow me the opportunity to educate children.  I worked there for four years before deciding to take a dive into the big city you'll find me in today--San Antonio.  In 2016, I began working at San Antonio Independent School District, continuing my career while also beginning (and finishing as of May 2018) graduate school to obtain a degree in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University in Beaumont.  This online program has really opened my eyes in what it means to be a good teacher.

In 2017, I decided to join North East Independent School District to be a bit closer to home and to be as fully engaged in the community as possible.  I hope that if you, or your student, find yourself in my class, we can have some amazing experiences in learning.  Feel free to reach out if you feel that I'm not doing the best that I can for you or your student.
