Degrees and Certifications:
A.A., English, San Antonio College 2015 B.A., English, Texas State University 2017 Texas English Language Arts & Reading Certificate (7-12)
My name is Kaila Stovall, and this is my second year teaching at Ed White Middle School! I am very excited to get to know each and every one of my students and their parents.
A little about me: I am currently married to my best friend, and we have two beautiful daughters and one beautiful son. All four of them are the most important people in my life, and they continue to teach me new things everyday. I don't have too many hobbies, but I do enjoy reading, writing, arts and crafts, and watching Netflix/movies with my family. I graduated from San Antonio College as the Distinguished Graduate in the English department with my Associates Degree in the spring 2015; I then continued my education at Texas State University and received my Bachelor's Degree with a major in English and a minor in Education in the spring of 2017. I chose to teach because I believe adolescents are our future, and I want to help shape young adults into empathetic assets of the community in which they reside. I like to say that I am teaching PEOPLE rather than teaching ENGLISH. That being said, I do believe English and Reading is a great way for all people to learn how to write, read, speak, and listen effectively. Everyday is a new opportunity to learn from our peers, our elders, and our students. I look forward to meeting you all and I hope this year brings all of us closer to reaching our goals.
