Mrs. Audrey De la Cruz
Head Director, Audrey De la Cruz, received her Bachelor's Degree, summa cum laude, from Texas State University in 2010, majoring in Music Education and minoring in English Literature. She serves as the principle director of the Bush MS Advanced and Intermediate Treble Choirs, Advanced Tenor Bass Choir, Chamber Ensemble, and 7/8th grade Pop Ensemble.
While at Texas State, Audrey was Director of Internal Operations and Finance of the statewide collegiate music organization, CTME and actively participated in the music honor's fraternity, Mu Phi Epsilon, where she served as Vice President. She is honored to give back to her collegiate experience by being a member of the Texas State Choral Alumni Scholarship committee.
Currently, Audrey is the Region 12 MS Chair-Elect, a member of the UIL Sightreading Committee. She is an affiliate with the Texas Choral Director's Association, Texas Music Educator's Association, and the Texas Music Adjudicators Association where she serves as an adjudicator and clinician throughout the state. She received a PTA Lifetime membership in 2012.
In her "spare" time, Audrey sings with the San Antonio Chamber Choir, serves as the alto section leader at First Protestant Church-New Braunfels, and is the Camp Administrator for the Texas State University Choir Camp. She and her husband, Christian, are proud parents of a rambunctious and brilliant 2 year old, Rose.
