Mrs. Margaret Boehme
In the twilight of my teacher career with thirty-eight years under my belt, I still enjoy coming to school every day. My early career in Edinburg, Texas, in the Reading/English Rotation Project was a time of learning and growth for me. Following marriage and a move to San Antonio, my Northeast ISD career began. I was privileged to teach English at Jackson Middle School for ten years, followed by 6 years at Driscoll Middle School, where I served as English Department Chair. I found my teaching home when Bush Middle School opened in 1998, and I am proud to have served as English Department Chair for our school's first eight years. Over the course of my career, I have taught all levels of students from those who struggle to those who are gifted. With 25 years experience working with gifted students, I am now privileged to teach the best students at the best middle school in the state of Texas. One of the things I enjoy most about my job is seeing my students enter as nervous and excited sixth graders and leave as confident and accomplished eighth graders. I'm very lucky!
On a personal note, my husband James and I recently celebrated our thirty-seventh wedding anniversary, and we enjoy spending time together with our son Ian and our dogs Mortimer and Sophie. When at home, I can usually be found outside in the garden where I grow antique roses and a variety of fruits and vegetables.
