I am so excited to be a Las Lomas Lion again this year! This is my second year at Las Lomas, and I am beginning my 26th year of teaching. I spent 24 years teaching middle school reading. My first 6 years were in Judson ISD, then I had the privilege of opening Tejeda Middle School and taught there for 18 years. I enjoyed serving as department chair and had an abundance of amazing students. I love teaching higher level thinking skills and digging deeper into literature. Good readers are good thinkers and writing is an art!
I am blessed with two fantastic daughters. My oldest daughter is teaching second grade in Comal ISD and my youngest is a senior accounting major at UTSA. I enjoy spending time with family & friends, outdoor activities, and of course ... reading!
