I am a native Coloradoan that relocated to San Antonio in 1997. I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Northern Colorado in 1993.
Both my husband and I are educators in NEISD. We have two children, one that attends Schreiner University and the other is in high school. I began teaching in 2000 as a science teacher in the East Central School District. Later, my family relocated to New Hampshire where I became interested in special education. So, upon our return to Texas, I began teaching lab science classes at Wagner High School, then coteaching science at Reagan. I made the move to Johnson when it opened in 2008.
I now have the privilege of being the Transition Teacher for the Johnson cluster schools. I find this position extremely rewarding as I get to work with families, students, and teachers to provide information for student post secondary advancement.
In my free time I enjoy vacationing in Colorado, gardening, cooking, and playing with my many pets..
