Welcome, Jaguars!

The 2021-2022 school year is my 17th year in education and my 14th year at Johnson High School.  I teach English I Honors and serve as the Instructional Dean of English.

The English I Honors course provides:

- an engaging and rigorous environment for learning and discovery through literature, discussion, and creativity;

- preparation for stellar success on the STAAR/EOC and PSAT;

- effective organizational and study strategies; and

- the opportunity to build strong interpersonal skills

High school is an exciting time to make new friends, join extracurricular activities, and learn new things; however, it can be a real balancing act.  As an educator (and a mom of two wonderful JHS graduates), I understand both the challenges and joys that you will experience, and I consider it a privilege to help you along this journey.

Please mark your calendar for our PTSA Greenback/Open House night on September 21.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please email me anytime: lblom@neisd.net
