"Home is where the Army sends you". This was our family motto. My father was in the military and I grew up living the military life. I was born in Germany and we were stationed overseas several times. My favorite place was Frankfurt American High School.
My family and I have lived all over the world. My husband was a helicopter pilot and for thirty years we were on the road or in the sky ... moving. After retiring from the military we decided to stay and make our home here in San Antonio.
We have two great kids. Christina is the Head Softball coach and Health/PE teacher at Roosevelt High School. Our son, Sean, is a 7th grades Texas History teacher at Tejeda Middle School.
My teaching career started while we were stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. For a couple of years I taught at different schools around the island of Oahu. After arriving in San Antonio, I have taught at Judson High School, Barbara Bush Middle School, and Douglas MacArthur High School. I am honored to have opened Johnson High School. This will be my 11th year at this great high school.
I am looking forward to another exciting and wonderful year. Senior Class of 2019 Go Jags!
