I am honored to teach at Roosevelt High School. This year will be my 30th year in education primarily at Roosevelt High School since 1999. I am blessed to have taught many wonderful students. It was always my dream to become a teacher and my experience here has been exciting, motivating and rewarding. 

I graduated from Texas A&M University at College Station in 1979 where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Education. I also received my Fine Arts certificate, which gives me the opportunity to teach digital art. My husband and I raised two sons and 1 daughter, all graduates of Texas A&M University. We have five beautiful grandchildren and are expecting our sixth in February.  My favorite pastimes are gardening with my husband, walking, photography, baking and traveling. I enjoy traveling and visiting my grandson in Rockwall, Texas and plan on visiting my daughter and her family in Bosnia soon. My son James and his wife are local and just had a beautiful baby girl. This year I am teaching Art 1 and Drawing 1. My goals are to continue to encourage my students to compete in various contests, in order to expose them to many opportunities in the STREAM world, such as VASE, TSA Technology Student Association, Reflections, Picture Your World, Scholastic and many more. I truly believe that this will help them become well-rounded and ready for a successful future.

I am the main sponsor for the Technology Student Association http://www.texastsa.org/ , http://www.tsaweb.org/  and Co-Sponsor of the CyberPatriot Team.  I hope to continue teaching and nurturing our students. I also anticipate a successful year and I look forward to working with the amazing art team.
