My full name is Maria del Carmen Montemayor, I grew up being called, Carmela.  I was born and raised in Laredo Texas to parents who came from Mexico.  After high school I received my Bachelor's degree  in Secondary Mathematics at TAMIU in Laredo, Texas. 

Some of the former school districts that I have worked for include UISD in Laredo TX. HISD in Houston TX, and now currently at NEISD.  I am proud to say I have been at Reagan since it opened in 1999.
