I was born and raised on a small farm in Kentucky.  After high school graduation, I joined the military and served in the U.S. Army for 7 years.  I then attended the University of Texas at El Paso where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in math and a Master's Degree in Educational Technology. 

I have been married for 27 years, and my wife and I have a daughter who is a sophomore at Our Lady of the Lake University and a son in twelfth grade at Johnson high school.  My son plays the saxophone in the marching band.  We have been in San Antonio for fifteen years now and love it--it is such a family friendly city. We enjoy doing things together such as fishing, trips to the many state parks, and of course, Six Flags.

This year I will begin my 26th year teaching and fourteenth year at Reagan.  What I love about my career is making math easy for those who struggle with its concepts, seeing students grow cognitively, and getting to know my students.
