Mr. David Daniel

Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. David Daniel

Coach Daniel has been a Reagan staff member since the opening of the school in 1999.  Throughout that time, he has been the Head Tennis Coach and an English teacher of varying levels.  For the past 11 years, he has been teaching English III AP, with his students consistently scoring above the national average on the AP Language and Composition Exam.  On the tennis side of things, under Coach Daniel's tutelage, the Reagan tennis team has become a constant fixture on the Texas Tennis Coaches Association Top 25 in 6A, with many appearances within the top 15.  In 21 years, the Reagan tennis teams have qualified for the playoffs 19 times, won 10 district championships, been to the Regional finals five times, and sent multiple players to the State tournament in the spring individual seasons.

On a personal level, Coach Daniel is married to his wife Allison, also a teacher within NEISD, and they have two children, ages 16 and 13, who are students in NEISD.  Coach Daniel grew up in Taylor, Texas (home of the Fighting Ducks!) and graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in English.  He received his Teacher's Certification from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Literature from Texas State University.  He really enjoys watching his kids' events and spending time with his family when he is not teaching or playing tennis.
