I’m glad you’re here! I teach AP Physics OnRamps, so I am a high school teacher at Reagan as well as faculty of the University of Texas at Austin. I began working at Reagan in 2000, and have taught Pre-AP Physics, AP Physics C and AP Physics 1, as well as dual-credit and AP Biology for SAC. I am married and have two sons who went through Reagan. They are both successful -- one in science and one in finance -- and credit Reagan as important to their success. They saw that Reagan graduates were much better prepared for college than other UT Austin students. I want to help you be prepared, too: I truly care that we help you grow to see your full potential, and succeed in your dream. I'm here for YOU. To help me have more time with you, please try to reduce unnecessary emails. It's always faster to ask me questions in class, in person, since we see each other every day.
Before I decided to become a high school teacher, my title was Faculty Researcher in Neurobiology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where I worked on the cellular basis of learning. I love to hike and always have fun in the mountains, including the sea cliffs of Ireland. This summer, I hiked and camped in Giant Sequoia National Monument, then on Catalina Island, then enjoyed time in a wet suit at Wrigley Research Institute. Do you like to travel?
