Chris Romine

Chris Romine grew up in Alief, a subburb on the southwest side of Houston, TX and graduated from Hastings High School.  He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kineseology from Texas A&M University along with teaching certifications in History, Physical Science, Health, and Physical Education.  While at A&M he was a member of Co D-1 in the Corps of Cadets, a Ross Volunteer, a member of the Men's Swim Team, and a Fish Camp Counselor.    Coach Romine went on to earn his Masters Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia Uniniversity. 

Coach Romine has coached and taught for 24 years with stops at South Houston, Georgetown and Clear Creek High Schools all before landing at James Madison in the Fall of 2012. He taught Algebra, Integrated Physics and Chemistry, PE, Health, World History, US History and AVID throughout various times in his career.  Furthermore, he has been a head coach for the past 15 years.  Guiding his teams at Madison to five playoff appearances in the his seven seasons at the school.  Coach Romine is a member of the Texas High School Coaches Association, the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Coach Romine is married to Cindi Romine and has two children:  Brooke and Maren.
