Meet the Teacher
We miss meeting all of our parents in person. Please watch the video below which would have been presented to you in person. I will also post this powerpoint in the google classroom for reference. Have a great evening.

Ms. Josephine Ferguson
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year at Madison High School.
I am a certified 7-12 Social Studies teacher. This is my tenth year teaching, seventh year as a teacher at Madison, and my fifth year as the Instructional Dean of Social Studies at Madison.
For the 2020-2021 school year, I teach Psychology for two periods and U.S. History for one. For three periods, I work as the Dean of Social Studies which includes duties such as teacher support and classroom visits.
This year starts virtually, but runs just like a typical school day. If able, you should log into zoom during your scheduled period every time class meets. Although the lessons are recorded, for an authentic experience, I recommend you engage in your lessons live, with me. I understand this will not be possible for everyone; however, I still want to meet every student the first week of school. If you cannot attend your class period's zoom, please schedule a time with me through email to zoom when it is convenient for you and your guardian. I look forward to meeting all of my students, and am excited about these new experiences.
I live in the Madison school zone and my own children are Madison alum and/or current students. We love Madison and the community. Stay safe, remain positive, and never hesitate to contact me; I am here for our students.
