Mr. Trey Brown

I was born and raised in San Antonio and attended NEISD schools.  I am a proud graduate of Windcrest Elementary School, Ed White Middle School, and Roosevelt High School.

After high school, I attended the University of Texas at Austin where I received a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting.  Upon graduating from UT, I attended law school at the University of Houston where I received a Doctorate of Jurisprudence (JD) degree.  Several years later, I received my public school teaching credentials at Southwest Texas State University (SWTSU) (now Texas State University).

In the early 1990s, I had the opportunity to begin teaching business law at SWTSU and coaching youth baseball.  After several years of teaching and coaching, I discovered my true passion--teaching and working with young people as opposed to practicing law.  As such, this school year will be my 30th year teaching (25th at Madison) and 31st year of coaching (10th at Madison).

Forty years ago I would have never predicted that I would be following my current path.  However, the path I chose has been unequivocally rewarding and gratifying.  It has given me the priceless opportunities to forge lifelong friendships and regularly learn from both my students and fellow colleagues.  As every year goes by, it becomes more and more apparent to me that life is all about building relationships.

I have had the honor to work alongside many good people with good hearts and phenomenal potential. As such, I have the peace of mind knowing that the future for our world, country, local community, and school are bright.  In working with our young people and in our community, I strive to do what I can to bring out in others and myself those things that will help our community and society grow in a positive direction.
