I am grateful to be part of another exciting year at MacArthur High School.
I was raised on a farm, in the small German community of Doss, Texas. I attended Fredericksburg High School and graduted in 1985. I received a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1990 from the University of Texas at Austin.
I started my teaching career at Granger High school as a math teacher and coach. After a couple of years, I moved to Hays Consolidated and continued to coach and teach math. In 1997, I moved to Roosevelt high school as the head baseball coach and and teacher. After five years, I transfered to Marshall High School as the head baseball coach. In 2006, I became a math teacher and a volunteer assisstent for the baseball team.
My wife also works in the district as a physical education teacher at Redland Oaks Elementary. I have two boys and both are very involved with baseball. My youngest is at Mac and the oldest plays baseball for Texas Tech University.
My goal is to guide your children during their high school math careers. In my class, your child will benefit from a teacher who is a parent familar with learning challenges.
