I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pa. but grew up in the military. I spent two tours of duty in Vietnam as a medic and retired from the US Army in 1984. Bachelors Biology Composite Science Certification Secondary Ed. I attend continuing education workshops in Astronomy throughout the school year at the University of Texas in Austin and also attend workshops through UT Austin at MacDonald Observatory during most summers.

I have been teaching at MacArthur High School for 16 years. I have taught Chemistry, Physics, Earth & Space Science and Intergrated Physics and Chemistry.
I believe in a learning environment that allows the participants to make mistakes. This is because humans have always learned by trial and error.
